This gallery, co-owned by Suzanne Demisch and Paris-based dealer Stephane Danant, spotlights high-style french furnishings from the 1960s and 70s by notable artists and designers such as Pierre Paulin and Francois Xavier Lalanne, whose experiments with new shapes and materials were encouraged by the government. "It was a decade that enabled designers to steer away from 'form follows function,'" explains Demisch, "and inject frivolity into objects of daily life." Hence, such offerings as Lalanne's "camel" seat and Roger Tallons M400 stools.
