Felice Varini: Grand Palais, Paris

A new work by Felice Varini entitled Vingt-trois disques évidés plus douze moitiés et quatre quarts is now on display at the Grand Palais in Paris, as part of the exhibition entitled "Dynamo." The exhibition examines the work of contemporary artists whose work resonates with optical and kinetic art, and confronts conventional notions of space, vision and light.

Felice Varini is known for his geometric, site-specific paintings that challenge spectator's perceptions of two-dimensional and three-dimension perspectives. The interaction between drawing, perspective and architecture greatly relies on context. Varini's work simultaneously adapts to its environment, while disrupting our perception of that environment and our own relation to it.
