The slice of oak comes from one of Marie Antoinette's famous oak trees at Versailles Palace, planted in 1685. After three centuries, many oaks fell in 1999 in a terrific storm.  Maria Pergay was fortunate to procure some pieces of this historical tree to incorporate into unique four tables, three of which have been completed. This table encases the last slice of oak available.
